Valve have today announced that they'll be publicly releasing their documentary about the competitive scene of Dota 2 - titled "Free to Play" - on March 19.

The documentary chronicles the journey of 3 of the top competitive Dota players from 2011; Fear, Hyhy and Dendi. The film revolves around the build up to The International, the first competitive Dota 2 tournament, and an event with 1 million dollars on the line.

Fittingly, the documentary will be free to all Steam users, although Valve are also selling an in game bundle featuring a heap of cosmetics. 25% of the money made from the in game sales will go to the players featured in the documentary.

For those in the San Francisco area, Valve are also premiering Free to Play at The Castro Theatre on March 18, with tickets available via Eventbrite for $25. If you're at the live screening, you also get to take part in a Q&A with the filmmakers and guests.
