Poncle Games has announced that action rogue-like hit Vampire Survivors will receive its first DLC expansion ''Legacy of the Moonspell" on December 15th, introducing new characters, weapons, monsters, stages, and music tracks. The downloadable content will be available on Xbox Series S|X, Xbox One, and PC via Steam for $1.99 USD.
Players will search for clues as to the location of a vampire, whose identity has not been revealed. They will cut down thousands of wayward spirits on their way to unravel some hidden mysteries for those of an intriguing mindset. "In eastern lands, a clan has fallen. The Moonspell, once vigilant guardians of a sorcerous valley nestled in the mountains, has been overrun by hordes of yokai and oni." reads the official description for the upcoming DLC.
The first downloadable content for Vampire Survivors introduces eight new characters, including Miang Moonspell, Menya Moonspell, Babi-Onna, and Syuuto Moonspell. Miang is a shounen protagonist and was a member of the Moonspell Clan before its downfall. Menya is one of the surviving Moonspell elders with God-like powers. Syuuto is a specialist in the new dark moon magic, and Babi-Onna, on the other hand, seeks vengeance on demons and mortals. She also retains her abilities to charm, dazzle, and amuse.
Legacy of the Moonspell DLC also adds thirteen weapons to kill enemies with, including Silver Wind, Four Seasons, Summon Night, and Mirage Robe. Silver Wind is created by the Moonspell clan, which only those born under the moon can wield its power. Four Seasons is a set of orbs that players can use to unleash the power of death and rebirth. Summon Night and Mirage Robe are the other two weapons that will be added to Vampire Survivors as part of the Legacy of the Moonspell expansion.
Lastly, the upcoming DLC introduces a brand new stage, Mt. Moonspell, a sprawling map with different environments and resident monsters. Players will explore an abandoned castle, snow-covered mountains, and a yokai village for new challenges. Vampire Survivors' Legacy of the Moonspell DLC will cost $1.99 when it launches on December 15th.
