Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Highlights the Tremere Clan
Paradox Interactive has introduced the next major clan in Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One: the Tremere.
Over the past few weeks Hardsuit Labs and Paradox Interactive have been unveiling the factions, or clans, that players will be exposed to in their upcoming game Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. Two weeks ago we learned about the Thinbloods players start as, and last week the Brujah clan was introduced. Today, the developers unveiled yet another clan: the Tremere.
If you liked Bloodbending in Avatar: The Last Airbender, this seems like the faction for you. The Tremere were granted a form of immortality at the cost of both their magic abilities and the “priced they paid” being with their own blood. Two main disciplines fall under players who go the Tremere Clan route: Thaumaturgy and Auspex.
Players with the Thaumaturgy discipline can use the power of Skewer, Purge, and Blood Boil. Skewer summons spikes of blood underneath the enemy, Purge damages enemies by having them puke up blood that the player can then control, and Blood Boil has players purging the enemy multiple times until they explode in what also serves as an area-of-effect attack.
The Auspex discipline only has two major abilities: Aura Sense and Psychic Projection. Aura Sense lets players mark enemies, see their weaknesses, and see through walls. Meanwhile, Psychic Projection has the player ascend to an astral form to spot enemies and overwhelm them with an attack. Both disciplines are varied and do a good job at demenstrating just how many different routes will be at players’ disposal in Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2.
Check out the clan’s debut animated trailer, which also features a tiny bit of gamplay at the end, below. Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is coming to PC, PS4, Xbox One in Q1 2020.
