As PAX East kicks off, developer Dontnod and publisher Focus Home Interactive have released a new trailer for Vampyr. This trailer, which features a cover of (Don’t Fear) the Reaper delves into the game’s story, giving us a better idea of the scope of the plot.

For those of you who don’t know, Vampyr takes place in 1918 and follows the story of Jonathan Reid, who is thrust into a crazy supernatural side of his world after being turned into a vampire. As he is a newborn vampire, called an Ekon, Jonathan has to deal with an unrelenting thirst for blood while also being a doctor and helping the sick.

During his journey, as this new trailer shows, Jonathan Reid runs into strange secret societies and finds out what exactly caused his transformation, all while on the run due a large-scale vampire hunt going on in London. If you want to see all of this play out, you can check out the story trailer at the end of this article.

Vampyr will release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on June 5. You can also currently pre-order the game from Amazon.
