Atlus launched a new trailer for the Vanillaware developed game, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, officially announced for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, coming in 2018 in Japan.

The trailer shows sidescrolling gameplay where players will be able to explore the surrounding areas and interact with other characters from the story. Additionally, the game shows some interesting gameplay where the player enters the mech and can be seen shooting what's assumed to be enemies.

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim will be localized and released in the West by ATLUS. The game is being developed by Vanillaware and directed by George Kamitani (Dragon’s Crown and Odin Sphere). The game takes place in a more modern setting populated with giant mechs, which a departure from the fantasy theme that we are used to seeing from the studio. Although the world may be bleak, Vanillaware’s signature artistic shine and gorgeous aesthetics will bring the characters and story of 13 Sentinels to life.

The game was announced back in September 2015 at Sony’s Tokyo Game Show press conference. Today, another of Vanillaware's titles received some spotlight as Dragon’s Crown - Pro was announced for the PS4 (if you’re unfamiliar with it, you can read our review).
