Today Compile Heart released two trailers of its upcoming JRPG Varnir of the Dragon Star

The first trailer showcases the opening cutscene of the game, giving us another look at the rich cast of waifus, and featuring the opening song "When I..." performed by Nako.

The second trailer features the artwork that will be used for the many retailer-specific bonuses in Japan. You may or may not know that those bonuses traditionally kick the sexy factor of the game up a notch or two, and since this is a Compile Heart game, make that three. That means that the second video below is most definitely unsafe for work.

You can also check out the previous trailera recent batch of screenshots, an earlier gallery, and the first trailer.

Valneer of the Dragon Star will be released in Japan only on PS4 on October 11th. For the moment there is no information about a western release. That being said, since the game is by Compile Heart, there is a good chance that Idea Factory International will bring it over at some point.

As a note, we used the title "Varnir of the Dragon Star" instead of the previously used "Valneer of the Dragon Star" as the official transliteration of the katakana title was revealed in the trailer.

Update: after removing the opening cutscene for reasons unknown, Compile Heart republished it today.
