QUByte Interactive announced that they will publish Vasara HD Collection for PC and Consoles in early 2019.

After obtaining the rights from developer Visco Corporation, Vasara HD Collection will contain remastered versions of the first two Vasara titles, Vasara and Vasara 2. Up until now, the series has been exclusive to arcades, so this will be the first time for the series to appear on other platforms.

The Vasara series is set in the year 1600 A.D. after the current ruler of Japan, Hideyoshi Hashiba has died and Ieyasu Tokugawa is planning on taking over. The series features three playable protagonists, Yukimura Sanada, Saiga Magoichi, and Keiji Maeda, who are actively attempting to put a stop to Tokugawa's plans from succeeding.

Vasara is a fast paced shoot 'em up where players must use the primary and melee attacks to shoot down and deflect enemy bullets through multiple levels and bosses. Additionally, the game features a "Vasara" meter, which adds damage and to the character's melee attacks and is refilled by picking up items dropped by defeated enemies. There is also a special bomb that can be used to clear the screen of enemies.
