Velocity Teleporting To the Vita As Velocity Ultra

Yes, yes, I know Velocity came out a while back as a PS mini, and minis can of course be played on the Vita. I really loved Velocity. And so did a lot of people, which is why FuturLab is bringing Velocity Ultra to the Vita, slightly remixed.

FuturLab’s managing director James Marsden said that the team scoured the internet for every review they could find from both professionals and hobbyists, and after going through YouTube comments and forum threads and more, they found they had a list of major requests they wanted to bring into the game.

Marsden said that many people found Velocity to be a bargain for a mini title, especially considering the content, which was admittedly really large. Sony agreed, and now Velocity Ultra is receiving trophy support (including a Platinum!). Velocity Ultra also features global and friend online leaderboards, including an “Elite Lounge” for players who reach the maximum amount of points in a level.

There are some other details about Velocity Ultra that you can read on the Playstation Blog, and a page about the Elite Lounge. You can also check out the trailers (a normal version and a “lolz” version) and a few pieces of art below. Velocity Ultra will be coming to the PS Vita on May 15th.
