It's almost here, folks! Video Game Day 2011 is happening this Saturday on February 19th, 2011. Outbreak Youth and DualShockers have come together for this videogame fundraising event to help bring a positive influence to the urban youth in the community. The event has also garnered the support of Mad Catz, SEGA and ASTRO Gaming, and their contributions to this worthy cause.

The event will be located on 87-47 111th Street, Richmond Hill, New York, and doors will open at 10am. Video Game Day 2011 will have a $5 cover charge to play games for the whole entire day. Please come hungry, because there will be lots of food and refreshments available for purchase. Every penny spent that day goes 100% back into the community.

Videogame tournaments for the day include Call of Duty Black Ops, Halo: Reach and Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Prizes will be given to all the winners of the three tournaments. The event will also include games outside of the main tournaments for those who seek to simply have a good time with fellow gamers. These include Wii, Xbox 360 Kinect, and other various games.

There will also be other prizes to be given out to those who attend. These include gift cards, gaming equipment, games, etc. Expect to see contests, mini tournaments, and raffles throughout the day.

Everyone must bring their own controller and whatever other equipment to play for the tournament

We will only be running Capture the Flag and Search and Destroy matches. Best 2 out of 3 matches = winner/elimination. It will be a single elimination tournament. Plans are subject to change.
