Earlier this year, MAPPA confirmed that it is working on Season 2 of Vinland Saga, and recently, the studio released a new trailer for the upcoming season. Surprisingly, the latest promo also gave us new information about the second season's release date.

WIT Studio released the first season of Vinland Saga back in 2019, which featured 24 episodes. Generally, anime fans are reluctant to watch historical anime series, mostly because of disappointing adaptations of Kingdom and Berserk. However, Vinland Saga proved what historical manga adaptations could offer if done right. The masterful anime series grabbed the attention of millions of viewers because of its spectacular animation, direction, characters, and of course, the voice-acting.

Anyway, it has been more than two years since the first season of Vinland Saga came out. The community is now anticipating the television show's return with Season 2. Well, after a long wait, we finally got a new trailer for Season 2. Here you go; take a look at the official PV Trailer yourself:

Apart from that, the studio has also revealed a new key visual for the new season. In the official art, we can see several main characters, including Thorfinn. MAPPA released the new trailer while also talking about the character design in the new season. The studio also confirmed that the anime would return in January 2023, so the anime is coming back in a couple of months.

Besides Vinland Saga Season 2, MAPPA is also working on projects such as Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2, Chainsaw Man, and Attack on Titan Final Season Part 3. Chainsaw Man is scheduled to release later this year, but the rest of the projects will come out in 2023.
