Vinland Saga Season 2 to Get New Information on June 8th

Mappa is working on the second season of Vinland Saga.

The first season of Vinland Saga concluded in December 2019 after giving us 24 astonishing episodes. Then, last year, the creators confirmed that the anime would return with Season 2. However, at the time, there was no confirmation if Wit Studio would continue to work on the anime series.

Wit Studio did a remarkable job in Season 1 of Vinland Saga, so the community was hoping that the Japanese animation studio would not hand over the project to another studio. However, several rumors emerged on the internet stating that MAPPA is taking charge to animate the following season. Shuhei Yabuta, the director of the Vinland Saga series, later confirmed on Twitter that the rumors were true.

Ever since MAPPA took over the project, the community has been waiting to get a trailer for the second season. Well, you’d be delighted to know that Vinland Saga will get new information, possibly with a new trailer, on June 8th.

The studio will unveil new information on TWIN Engine’s official YouTube channel at 8 AM EDT (Eastern Timing). So, stay tuned on Wednesday for the “Big announcement” around Vinland Saga Season 2.

Vinland Saga is one of those rare historical anime series that did justice to the source material with its incredible animation and storytelling. However, the community is worried about the animation after MAPPA decided to work on the second season.

Fortunately, Shuhei Yabuta, who is directing Season 2, confirmed on Twitter that the same staff from Season 1 is working on the anime. People working on the second season have a deep understanding of Vinland Saga, so fans have nothing to worry about about the television series’ future.
