Saibot Studios, an Argentinian developer known for the Doorways series of horror games on PC, announced their next title Hellbound today. Hellbound is set to be a ridiculously violent, gameplay-focused FPS inspired by popular titles from the 1990’s such as Doom, Quake, Duke Nukem 3D, and Blood. A short teaser trailer was released for the game that introduces Hellgore, the game’s main protagonist.

The trailer also reinforces the fact that the game is not story-focused, as it really just exists to give Hellgore an excuse to shoot demons in hell. Hellbound is powered by Unreal Engine 4, but we unfortunately don’t get to see any gameplay in this reveal trailer.

Hellbound is going to release on PC “soon”, but between now and its official release, Saibot Studios will be holding a Closed Beta for the game which includes a Survival Mode where players are pitted against giant hordes of demons with large guns from hell. You can sign-up for the Closed Beta on the game’s website.

You can check out the reveal trailer and some concept art for the game below. Hellborne will be releasing on PC soon. While the game may just have the survival mode at launch, the developers are hoping to add a single player campaign and multiplayer in the future.
