Vita Memory Card Deemed "A Requirement"

Earlier this week, Kotaku Japan reported that the physical retail incarnations of several big titles coming to the Playstation Vita will require a memory card — Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention, @Field, Hot Shots Golf 6, Monster Radar, and Dream Club Zero Portable. These games cannot be booted up if there is no memory card in the console.

It is safe to assume that Vita owners need a card for downloadable goods — so on top of spending $250 for the system (or $300 for the 3G version) players must shill out for these cards, the prices of which have still not been announced.
