Vita Version of Volume Delayed a “Couple Weeks”, Cross-Buy Will Work Normally

The one-man team developmer Mike Bithell is known for his award winning Thomas Was Alone but it seems like his upcoming game, Volume, might not be making it to the PS Vita on time.

Volume will still make it to the PS4 and PC on time, which is August 18 but it seems the PS Vita is having some troubles and will be delayed for a couple of weeks till they are solved. Mike Bithell confirmed that you can purchase the game when it launches, and the cross-buy functionality will automatically work once the PS Vita version launches.

“Unfortunately, we unexpectedly had to make the decision to hold off on the Vita version for a couple weeks to get it where we want it. It’s so very nearly ready, but it needs a little more love. A few personal problems and issues have slowed down our submittal, so even though the game is “done” on Vita, we still have some QA process to go through”

“Crossbuy remains in effect, meaning that if you get the game on PS4, the Vita version will be waiting for you the second it’s out of the oven, at no extra cost.”

Volume is set to launch on August 18 on PC and PS4 in North America and on August 19 in Europe.

My main and favorite thing to do in my life is play video games on my PS4 and admire the work that has been done in each game whether it's an AAA or an indie. Games are games no matter how many people develop it, it's the passion and hard work behind it. I am a crazy fan of Game of Thrones and love to read National Geographic magazines.
