With the holiday season slowly creeping onto our calendars, Vive has announced a brand new bundle for their VR headset.

From now until December 31st, 2017, gamers can purchase the GeForce GTX 1070 + HTC Vive Bundle for only $799. This bundle is ideal for those who are looking to upgrade their graphics card as well as dive into virtual reality but are currently lacking the hardware to run VR games.

In addition to receiving a new graphics card and headset, those who purchase this bundle will also receive a redemption code for Bethesda's upcoming title Fallout 4 VR. Earlier this month, HTC announced that buyers would get a free copy of the VR port of Fallout 4, with their headset.

Personally, I think this is a fantastic deal. Currently, Vice's VR headset alone is $600 while a 1070 GPU can cost around $400; on top of that, Fallout 4 VR is priced at $59.99. When you factor in all those expenses and then consider Vive's deal, players are saving around $260 with the bundle.

The GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card emphasizes 1920 CUDA cores, 120 texture units, 8GB GDDR5 RAM, and includes a 1,506Mhz core clock. Compared to this bundle, the standard bundle of the HTC Vive headset also includes two wireless controllers and two base stations that help scale the perimeter of the room you are playing in. Fallout 4 VR is set to be released in December of this year.
