Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance has launched today, and Tuque Games along with Wizards of the Coast have been promoting the game with a few famous faces.

Dark Alliance is considered to be the spiritual successor of Balder's Gate: Dark Alliance, returning popular D&D heroes Drizzt Do’Urden, Catti-brie, Wulfgar and Bruenor Battlehammer for some brawler action.

The D&D action-RPG has been confirmed to have cross-gen play, where co-op campaigns will be alive and kicking, but who are the actors lending their familiar voices to promote the game?

'Sleep Sound' Animated Short

Last month Wizards of the Coast released an animated short about the origin of Drizzt Do’Urden - based off of R.A. Salvatore's iconic work.

The short is designed as a companion piece to accompany the release of Dark Alliance, narrated by none other than Benedict Cumberbatch.

The British actor has voiced the dragon Smaug from The Hobbit trilogy and Shere Khan from Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle.

Cumberbatch narrates our journey through the Forgotten Realms universe, beginning at Drizzt's birthplace - the Underdark City.

Utaar Kelvinson Clip from Dark Alliance

Around the same time that Cumberbatch's short appeared, Tuque Games release a new clip featuring Utaar Kelvinson.

The descent of the frost giant Kelvin has a rather deep and inhuman voice. However, Utaar was revealed to be veteran D&D player and Hollywood actor Joe Manganiello.

The actor confirmed his casting on his Twitter page, and the developers also teased fans about who the voice actor could be.

Manganiello has recently worked on Zack Snyder's Justice League as Deathstroke, and he is a well-known D&D enthusiast who hosts various campaigns with several famous faces at his house.

Dark Alliance is now available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and Steam.
