That VR Figure from Shining was the perfect way to nickel and dime, it was pretty much evident, and Bandai Namco paved the way with Summer Lesson. Release a VR game with a pretty girl to interact with, then launch DLC with various costumes and situations, and that is instant profit.

Today the virtual reality spin-off of Shining Resonance Refrain for PlayStation VR was launched on the Japanese PlayStation Store, and it was immediately accompanied by two DLC packages. The first is a bikini with a tropical resort situation, and the second is a schoolgirl uniform with the Astoria high school setting.

Each DLC is priced at 800 yen (about $7), or you can get them as a package with the base game at 2,340 yen.

You can check out a few screenshots below, including the situation selection menu. You can also enjoy some gameplay and more screenshots.

If you’re more interested in the full game, Shining Resonance Refrain already launched in Japan for PS4 on March 29th, 2018, while the Switch version will hit the shelves tomorrow, July 12th. The western release also came for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on July 10th.
