If you're longing for the day when you can bring VVVVVV with you on the go on Nintendo Switch, then your wait is almost over. Today developer Terry Cavanagh and publisher Nicalis, Inc. announced that the popular platforming game will be making its way to Nintendo's new console on November 17, 2017.

To celebrate the announcement of the release date, a brand new trailer was released, which shows off some gameplay from the Switch version of the game. You can, as always, check it out at the end of the article.

VVVVVV is a retro, 8-bit platforming game that allows players to change the gravity of the game with the press of a button. The Switch version will also include local co-op, which can be played with the console's Joycons. You can check out a tease of the co-op mode in the aforementioned trailer.

Of course, this isn't the first time that VVVVVV has been released. It originally hit digital stores on January 11, 2010, and is also available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Windows PC, OS X, Linux, Nintendo 3DS, and Ouya, as well as iOS and Android devices. As of the time of this writing, a price for the Switch version has not yet been revealed.
