Want a Kinect? Eat Burger King!

By Allen Park

November 1, 2010

Today marks the start of the creatively named “Burger King Kinect for XBOX 360 Game” at the only national burger chain for royalty, and by “Game” they mean “contest”.  According to the contest homepage, you can find game codes on “specially marked 40 oz. and 30 oz. Drink Cups, WHOPPER Sandwich Wraps and Large FRYPOD Containers” to enter on the site for a chance to win a “Kinect for XBOX 360 Prize Pack” every 15 minutes.  The Prize Pack includes an XBOX 360 console and a Kinect, along with copies of Kinect Adventures and Kinect Sports.

Although the horrifically disturbing action shots of the King almost made me close the site to go weep silently in the corner, I registered to see if there was any sort of “free” code they give as good will for sign up, and while there isn’t, you can play up to 6 times per day.  So if you’re the kind of person that salivates over the thought of ingesting objects named “WHOPPERS” and “FRYPODS” 6 times a day, I’d say you have a pretty darned good chance to win a “Kinect for XBOX 360” (that’s the full name?  Really?).  The contest runs until November 28.

Allen Park

Allen is an utter whore of a gamer; he's completely open-minded to all games, be they AAA blockbusters or $5 casual children's games. His focus is on indie games specifically, valuing gameplay and ingenuity over sparkly visuals and ridiculous gimmicks. When he's not geeking out over the newest art game, he's out toning his sexy, sculpted shoulders while surfing epic 1.5ft waves, or having a good time with local, high-gravity microbrews.
