Want an Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies Retail Release? Demand One from Capcom.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies will be releasing in North America on the Nintendo 3DS, but will only come by way of a digital release via Nintendo’s eShop. That has disappointed quite a few people who are avid collectors of physical products (like myself). But, hope is not lost.

Capcom’s Senior VP Christian Svensson told fans to let them know they want a retail release; show demand for a physical product. Perhaps then the brass at the game publisher will be persuaded to release at retail. On a thread at Capcom Unity, he made these remarks:

If you’d like to be heard, you can post on this thread (I’ll leave it open), PM me on Capcom-Unity or hit up my twitter (@chrissvensson) as many folks already have. I need some additional ammo and these requests fit that need.

If you’d like to see Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies show up at your local brick and mortar or online store of choice, you’d best do what the man says and hit him up either via Twitter or at the thread I mentioned above. I know how it is to want to keep physical items alive for the sake of collectors (which I am, for very specific types of games), so I’m all for this movement. The trend toward digital-only releases can be good, but I think the industry loses something in the process.
