Want More Out of Square-Enix? Wait Until January!

The Tokyo Game Show has come and gone. While there was a closed-door showing of a quick Final Fantasy Versus XIII trailer, not a whole lot was shared about any of the Fabula Nova Crystallis titles still in production. However, one little tidbit was dropped – Square-Enix will be holding a FNC press conference on January 11, 2011, a little less than four months away. I’ll give you three guesses what we’re in for there, but you’ll only need one – Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Agito XIII media.

However, director Tetsuya Nomura has gone and given us even more details in the latest issue of Famitsu (for once it isn’t via Twitter, right?). Apparently, we’ll be getting actual screenshots of both games, as well as seeing the introduction of several new titles. I know, I know, all you fanboys are clamoring for a Final Fantasy VII remake. Don’t hold your breath.

At the event they will also detail Dissidia Duodecim: Final Fantasy some more, announcing many new characters that will be appearing in that title. If I were you, I’d pick up a new pair of pants just for January 11, and stay tuned here as we get closer to the event, because we’re sure to have plenty of coverage.
