Want Plants vs Zombies for Free On Your Android Phone? Here's How

May 16, 2011

Today PopCap Games announced that they’ll finally be offering some of their gaming treats to the Android crowd, exclusively through the Amazon.com Android app store. It’ll kick off its exclusive deal with Chuzzle, which will be available tomorrow through May 30, and then with Plants vs. Zombies, available “later this month”. The best part? Both games will be FREE the first day they’re available in the app store, before switching over to their normal $2.99 price tag.

I love seeing this, not only because PvZ is an amazing game, but also since this is an indication that the Android platform is slowly but surely turning into a viable gaming platform. We’ll have more news about the exact release date when it comes up.

Allen is an utter whore of a gamer; he's completely open-minded to all games, be they AAA blockbusters or $5 casual children's games. His focus is on indie games specifically, valuing gameplay and ingenuity over sparkly visuals and ridiculous gimmicks. When he's not geeking out over the newest art game, he's out toning his sexy, sculpted shoulders while surfing epic 1.5ft waves, or having a good time with local, high-gravity microbrews.
