Console gamers may not be aware of it, but Valve's Team Fortress 2 is kind of a big deal in the PC gaming community. Some of us, myself included, herald it as the best team-based multiplayer experience in video gaming period, even over three years after its release. If you need more proof of its popularity, look no further than this: PC Gamer reported yesterday that the guys at the legendary WETA design workshop dropped off a life-size sentry gun from the game at Valve offices.

It's no shoddy fan custom either; the thing actually has motion sensors and sound effects, so when someone walks into Valve's studios, they'll be surprised/freaked the hell out to hear the signature sentry gun sound, followed by gunfire and flashing lights. Hit the jump for video of the thing.

I can't wait until they put these in the Valve store.

Hopefully.
