When Call of Duty: WWII's latest DLC, The War Machine, was released last week, many assumed that a new event would arrive the same time, especially considering that new weapons were accidentally added to the game's marksman challenges, but at the time, we didn't hear a thing from Sledgehammer Games. Now, almost a full week later, the developer finally began teasing that a new event would be coming to the game.

The teaser, which you can check out via Sledgehammer's Twitter account below, shows an image of Captain Butcher, the Quartermaster during the game's in-game events, in a brand new outfit, which was similar to the one briefly seen in the game's main menu last week, before it was subsequently removed. While the character does look relatively similar to his standard outfit, one major difference is that he has some sweet new goggles.

Unfortunately, we don't know when we will hear more about the new event, however, if it follows the same pattern as other events, we should hear more tomorrow, with the event starting on Friday.

Last week, Sledgehammer Games revealed that Ground War and a new multiplayer map based on the Headquarters will be making its way to the game this week, more than likely to coincide with the new event.

Call of Duty: WWII was originally released last year, and is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.  If you don't have the game but you want to pick it up before the event, you do so by clicking here.
