When Warcraft 3: Reforged last week, tons of fans were disappointed by a remaster that felt half-baked and went back on many of the things promised at its original reveal. Of course, video game development is difficult and sometimes plans need to change. However, it was still a tough pill for many to swallow. Fortunately, Activision-Blizzard announced today that they are changing their refund policy for Warcraft 3: Reforged.

As of this morning, Activision-Blizzard is letting anyone who purchased Warcraft 3: Reforged can get a full refund with no questions asked. Previously, the company had different requirements dictating whether players could get a refund or not. Now, those requirements are gone. Anyone can get a refund for any reason. Of course, there were some reports earlier this week that Activision-Blizzard's refund program had been automated for just Warcraft 3. However, this announcement confirms that Activision-Blizzard is doing just that.

This is great news for the scores of fans who are unhappy with the Warcraft 3 launch. It's unfortunate that Activision-Blizzard wasn't able to provide the experience people wanted. However, at least they're giving players a path to get their money back. It's obviously not the ideal scenario, but it['s certainly better than nothing. They might not fix the numerous bugs, bad menus, or countless other issues, but at least you can get your $30 back.

Warcraft 3: Reforged is available now on PC. Personally, it's not a game I'd recommend; however, if you can get past the many problems, the original Warcraft 3 gameplay and story is a high watermark for the RTS genre.
