Blizzard Entertainment is already having a rough 2020. Due to the many issues of its most recent release, Warcraft 3: Reforged, the refunding process has been automated, allowing players to get a refund regardless of playtime.

Based on a recent Reddit thread, many players have received instant refunds for their copy of Warcraft 3: Reforged despite their game time. The redditor who started the thread said they pre-ordered the game in December 2018, played about 10-15 hours of the beta, and around 5 hours of the full release. After submitting a ticket for the refund, they claim it took a minute for it to go through.

It seems that the refund process is actually automated as many others have stated they have received refunds almost instantly. There have been cases that players have had trouble with submitting a refund, but it seems to have worked for many with this link.

Much of players' displeasure for Warcraft 3: Reforged stems from promises made at BlizzCon 2018. What was shown was reworked cutscenes, graphics, and features. However, many of those improvements did not make it to the final release. The remaster also had many of the issues you would expect, like bugs and log-in issues.

Blizzard Entertainment did issue a developer update discussing the feedback they have received since launching Warcraft 3: Reforged. While it doesn't address every concern players have had with the game, it goes over some of the plans they have for the game's future. This includes visual issues with Classic mode, online features like clans and leaderboards, and cutscenes. They also state that they are "fully committed to supporting the game for a long time to come." You can check out the full update here.
