Warcraft Movie Release Date is Delayed to Make Room for Star Wars: Episode VII

Here’s some unfortunate news regarding the highly anticipated World of Warcraft movie adaptatation; according to a recent tweet sent out by the company, the film is being delayed by three months.

While no reason was given, one might suspect it has to with wanting to avoid Disney’s recent announcement that Star Wars: Episode VII is also coming to theaters December 18th, 2015. Despite Warcraft long-standing relationship with “developmental limbo” for the past seven years which included five years since a director (Duncan Jones) was officially attached, the film does appear to be making great progress.

About one month ago the lead role was cast and during this year’s Blizzcon, concept art and the plot details were released. Even though every epic film has its ups and downs all we can do is keep our fingers crossed the tales of Anduin Lothar, Durotan, Human and Orc heroes will be told while we’re still young enough to remember.
