As the driving force behind titles like the massively-popular World of Tanks, developer Wargaming has its bases of operations worldwide, though the studio (unfortunately) is preparing to close its West Coast-based studio in the US.

Developer Wargaming has confirmed in a statement to Kotaku that the company will be shutting down its Seattle development office, which hosted a team of about 150 members. A representative from the studio explained that the studio will be “assisting the current employees of the Redmond Studio” to offer them opportunities at the company’s other locations worldwide, and added that “we would like to express our gratitude and thank everyone on the team for their hard work.”

Wargaming Seattle was previously known as Gas Powered Games and established in 1998, and worked on titles such as the Dungeon Siege and Supreme Commander series before their acquisition by Wargaming in 2013, and the studio was at work on an unannounced MMO project before its closure.
