Developer Fatshark has released yet another trailer for the upcoming shooter, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, this time dedicated to one of the playable classes in the game, Ogryn: Skullbreaker. The short gameplay footage showcases Ogryn's key features and moveset, which combines melee and ranged attacks.

Starting from his key features, the development team recommended players use Ogryn against hordes to unleash his hidden potential. Due to having an effective stagger and suppression effect, Ogryn can serve as the frontline character if his team lacks a tanky member, allowing his teammates to deal damage without having to keep a close eye on their backs. Although Ogryn mainly focuses on melee combat with a knife and hammer, he also can use a thumper shotgun to execute his foes from a distance.

What sets Ogryn: Skullbreaker apart from the other classes is that he brings flexibility to his team thanks to his efficient moveset, blended with ranged and melee attacks. For example, Ogryn can clean up large waves of enemies with his thumper shotgun, while his tactical action, box of grenades, allows him to change the style of combat when he runs out of ammo. Perhaps most excitingly, in melee, Ogryn specializes in use of a tactical knife and shield combo to both cut at the enemy and protect himself against ranged attacks. His weaponry includes a sledgehammer that can be used with his shield during combat.

As also seen in the trailer, Ogryn can charge forward, allowing him to get closer to the enemy faster if he cannot attack from a distance. Additionally, Ogryn will appear on the battlefield with various passive skills, such as increased heavy melee attack damage and toughness from melee skills. With this in mind, players can increase their power during combat by invoking passive effects if they choose to focus on melee attack rather than the thumper shotgun.

Fatshark has previously released a gameplay trailer for the Zealot: Preacher class, showcasing her abilities in action against the Moebian Sixth. Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is due out on Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam on November 30.
