Warhorse Utilizing CryEngine 3 Technology to Craft Next-Gen RPG

By Kenneth Richardson

February 10, 2012

Brand spanking new developer Warhorse Studios has announced that it will be making use of the lauded CryEngine 3 to develop its unannounced next-gen RPG. This promises a game that is at the very least a decadent piece of eye candy ala Crysis 3. This news comes by way of Crytek, who must be very proud of themselves. Executive producer at Warhorse Martin Kilma has claimed that they observed all possibilities and that the powerful engine suits his team’s needs “perfectly”.

Unfortunately, neither Crytek or Warhorse has dropped any new details on the game, although this tidbit is certainly enough to sprout interest in those who had yet to hear of the dev. The CryEngine technology is apparently very powerful and will hopefully make for a great debut for Warhorse. Don’t expect much more info on the project any time soon, as it is apparently planned for next generation consoles.
