Even after the acquisition of Minecraft developer Mojang caused quite a stir in the past few weeks alongside the departure of several of the game's original creators, Minecraft shows no signs of slowing down any time soon, and chief among that is the currently-in-development major motion picture adaptation of the popular world-building game.

Reports detail that Warner Bros. is currently in talks to find the director for its upcoming Minecraft movie, with details indicating that the studio has been in talks with director Shawn Levy to head up the big-screen version of the game. Levy previously directed films such as Night at the MuseumReal SteelDate Night, and more recently completed This is Where I Leave You and Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.
