Warning: PSN Spam Messages Leading to Fraud and Theft

A word to the wise; do not ever copy and paste a chain-mail on PlayStation Network messaging system. For one thing, we all know that the rumors that it is generating are false. Even worse, the latest in scams being pulled in our otherwise comfortable home for gaming involves a message that contains a URL linking to some type of “Redeem Code Generator” for free games.

Yep, you guessed it, this is a fraud. This is not the first spam letter to lead to fraudulent websites that only want to max out your credit cards and empty your bank accounts to appear on the PlayStation Network, nor will it be the last. Be sure to use your head and remember if it seems too good to be true it probably is!
