Warriors Orochi 4 Introduces Athena and More With New Screenshots on Famitsu

Following Zeus, another Olympian has been announced by Koei Tecmo as a playable character for Warriors Orochi 4, the beautiful Goddess Athena.

Today’s issue of Weekly Famitsu included a spread on Warriors Orochi 4, introducing a new playable character to among the 170 that will be offered by the game.

Following the rather evident masculinity of Zeus, we get a much more feminine goddess, and that’s Athena, who looks definitely great.

And since the game basically turned into Saint Seiya, we also get to see more of the “sacred treasure” weapons, and of the “deification” feature, which allows some human characters to basically become gods for a limited time.

You can check out the screenshots below, keeping in mind that they’re from magazine scans, so the quality is not perfect.

Recently, we learned that Warriors Orochi 4 will launch for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on October 16th in North America and 19th in Europe. We then heard about the lessons the development team learned from Dynasty Warriors 9 and Warriors All-Stars, and the resolution and frame rate targets of the Switch version.

You can also read our hands-on preview from E3 2018. The game can currently be pre-ordered on Amazon.
