Players may have finally got what they wished for, it looks like the AUG has finally been nerfed in Call of Duty: Warzone. But will it still be good to use?

Here's everything we know about the latest Warzone updated and just how exactly that annoying Cold War AUG was nerfed.

Warzone 1.34 Update

On March 31 a brand new update was released for Call of Duty: Warzone. More specifically, this update was part of Season 2 Reloaded across both Black Ops Cold War and Warzone.

There were a lot of changes in both games, but if you want to know everything on the Cold War side of Season 2 Reloaded, you can find the patch notes at the link below.

As for Warzone, Activision finally decided it was time to do something about the file size of Modern Warfare and Warzone. With this latest update players are going to save around 40GB of console storage if you have both Modern Warfare and Warzone installed. However, the patch is a massive 50GB-133GB depending on your platform.

Warzone Aug Nerfed

The reduction in file size wasn't the only change that came to Warzone on March 31, the AUG tactical rifle has finally received a nerf. This is something many players have wanted for a long time. But was the nerf enough? And can you still use it effectively?

Well, it looks like the nerf wasn't quite as big as we were hoping it to be. The official description in the patch notes reads, "The Cold War AUG's base recoil magnitude has been increased".

All this means is that the recoil is going to be a little harder to control when bursting, but the AUG is still able to melt people in around 2 bursts depending on range.

@ModernWarzone on Twitter has summed up our feelings perfectly with this tweet.

In summary, the AUG tactical rifle is still exactly the same. It's still good to use, and it's still going to dominate in Warzone. Or maybe we should start saying, the Augzone.
