Warzone High-Resolution Texture Pack: What is it?

Now, Activision is bringing yet another important change for Call of Duty: Warzone, and this time it is only for consoles. Activision has released a High-Resolution Texture Pack for console users. The texture pack is sized around 8.4GB on PlayStation consoles and is also available for Xbox owners. It is stated that the texture pack is  “recommended only for PS4 Pro and PS5 players with high-resolution displays.”

As of now, we don’t know much about the texture pack as such. Several users have reported that the characters and models do indeed look sharper at 4K resolution after installing the texture pack. Earlier the game was upscaled from 1440p (2K) resolution to 2160p (4K). It might be that the new high-resolution texture pack makes the game run natively at 4K resolution. Until Activision releases further details about the texture pack, we can’t say for sure.

For now, players with high-resolution displays and who own any of the new consoles should definitely try out the next high-resolution texture pack. While it might not make that big of a difference in gameplay, you will still get a visually enhanced experience in the game. We will keep you updated when we learn more about the high-resolution texture pack.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PC.
