With Season 2 of Warzone and Black Ops Cold War now well underway, many fans have been wondering if March 11 will be the end of Verdansk? Various leakers seem to think so, but there's a bit of a debate on when the infamous nuke event will take place. We've broken down all the latest info to get a better idea of if the nuke event is actually real, and if so when it will take place.

Is The Nuke Event Real?

Rumours of a nuke hitting Verdansk started circulating just as Season 2 of Warzone and Cold War was about to drop on February 25. The rumours come from various different Call of Duty leakers within the community, claiming to have found the information within the latest update.

With Zombies now in Warzone, and missile solos appearing across Verdansk, it's becoming harder to dispute the theories of a nuke taking out the current map.

There's a lot of different leaks flying around, and many of them are from trusted sources. But, everything at this point is pure speculation. It is however looking more and more likely that Verdansk will be hit by a nuke at some point in the near future.

When Will It Happen?

Fans and leakers are convinced the nuke event is real, so everyone wants to know, when will it happen? Well, there's a bit of a debate around the exact date.

Some leakers believe the date will be March 11, as this is the date that the current Outbreak event ends. You can check out tweets from @WarzoneNewz and @ReeceWZNZ, who believe the Warzone nuke may occur on March 11.

While others, such as VGC, believe the end of Verdansk will come in April with the launch of Season 3.

It's unclear when the event will take place, with many leakers now back-peddling on the date of March 11.

Considering leakers within the community can't decide on an exact date, it's important to take all of this information with a pinch of salt until there's an official announcement from the Call of Duty team.

Possible New Warzone Map

The date isn't the only thing that leakers can't decide on, many are arguing if players will still be dropping into Verdansk after the nuke event, or if Warzone will be receiving a brand new map entirely. Some are stating that Verdansk will still be playable, but will have a drastically different design after the nuke hits.

While @_Tom_Henderson_ believes that the current plan for Warzone is to introduce a brand new map entirely, meaning the end for Verdansk.

So again, considering the people leaking this information can't decide on the details, I'd probably just sit back and enjoy the ride when and if this all goes down.
