It’s not often that fans have to wait nearly three decades in between the release of two installments of a game, and though it took 26 years to get Wasteland 2 into the hands of gamers, it seems like it was entirely worth the wait, according to the sales figures.

In a press release from developer inXile Entertainment, following its official release last Friday Wasteland 2 has pulled in an impressive $1.5 million in sales in just the four days following its debut. Following the news, inXile founder Brian Fargo stated that the company is “ecstatic that the style of game we love so much has been embraced so well.”

Wasteland 2 is now available for PC, Mac, and Linux through Steam.
