Kickstarter-funded Wasteland 2, sequel to the 1988 original, has just been announced for the PS4 after previously being confirmed to be releasing on Microsoft’s Xbox One.
The release on the PS4 will indeed be Wasteland 2 Game of the Year Edition after seeing a very successful release on the PC where it received high praise from players and critics alike.
The Game of the Year Edition has been ported to the latest version of Unity which, as detailed over on the PlayStation Blog, allows the developers to overhaul some of the visual effects within the already visually pleasing game.
Still, who can say no to realistic lighting and better shadows? Well, it’s not all about lights and shadows, the gameplay has undergone a few tweaks, too as players will be able to customise their teams with more traits as well as strike down foes with greater accuracy using the new Precision Strike system which you’ll be able to test out when it releases later on this year in the summer.
The summer months are traditionally a little barren in terms of new releases, but with this hardcore RPG coming out, you’ll never need to see the glorious summer sun. Though I do personally recommend going out for a walk or a game of footy, just to be healthy and sociable.
