After the success of the long-anticipated Wasteland 2, the upcoming Wasteland 3 will bring players back into the post-apocalypse with several new features, with the game having now been officially crowdfunded.
Originally announced two weeks ago, developer InXile Entertainment announced that Wasteland 3 has met its crowdfunding goal on the platform of $2.75 million, just three days after the game’s crowdfunding campaign was launched on Fig.
While a majority of the $2.75 million was contributed by investors, over 14,000 backers contributed toward the game’s funding goal, which currently sits at $2,823,321 (as of this writing), with over 24 days still left in the campaign to contribute towards the game.
Following the game’s funding on Fig, InXile has unveiled several stretch goals for the project, upwards of $3.1 million beyond the original funding goal and including new content such as new customization options for characters, vehicles, gear, and more.
Wasteland 3 is currently in development for PS4, Xbox One, and PC for late 2019 – you can learn more and contribute to the game’s funding at its Fig campaign page.
