If you had any doubt that Hidetaka “SWERY” Suehiro, creator of D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die and Deadly Premonition, is a cool guy, this is going to dispel them all.

The YouTube channel Toco Toco TV just released a new video showing Swery as he leads us around Osaka, playing his early games in an old arcade, visiting a bar that inspired his games, and bringing the evening to a close with one of Japan’s national sports, getting drunk.

At the moment Swery is on a hiatus from game development, as he’s recovering form reactive hypoglycemia, but hopefully he’ll be back to surprise us with new creations soon.

Incidentally, the video was directed by Anne Ferrero, who is currently working on a documentary on Japanese indie developers titled Branching Paths, and that we interviewed just a couple of months ago.
