Today, we got a couple of updates on Ubisoft’s upcoming open world game, Watch Dogs. Ubisoft has revealed the launch window for the game on the various platforms that it will appear on.

The game is slated to be released for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One sometime during April and June of 2014. The Wii U version of the game will not be releasing alongside its other counterparts.

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot had this to say:

We made the difficult decision to further delay the release of Watch Dogs on Wii U to focus the team’s resources where they could have the broadest possible benefit for both our customers and Ubisoft.

While this is disappointing news for Wii U owners, at least this confirms that Watch Dogs is indeed coming out for the system. Rumors of its cancellation circulated recently when Gamestop stores in both Italy and North America began to cancel pre-orders for the Wii U edition of the game.
