Recently, Nintendo has released a new gameplay video for its upcoming platformer Super Mario Odyssey, and it looks as about as amazing as you'd expect.

This new video, which is nearly 8 minutes in length, features Mario in the Seaside Kingdom. This new location was revealed in Nintendo's most recent Direct and as you might imagine from the name, it is an area similar to that of a beach. Of course, because Mario is in this tropical location, that means we get to see him run around in his shirtless form, which set the Internet ablaze when first shown off a few weeks back.

As for what we get to see in today's video, it's mostly broad gameplay elements. Fighting enemies and taking them over with Super Mario Odyssey's new hat mechanic are shown a handful of times throughout the video. We also get a brief look at the photo mode in Super Mario Odyssey, which was yet another feature that was unveiled in the last Direct. Before we see too much though, the video ends on a cliffhanger with Mario about to fight one of the bosses of the Seaside Kingdom.

It's worth mentioning that the representatives from Nintendo who talk during the gameplay footage promise that today's new video is the first in an ongoing series of Super Mario Odyssey videos that will be releasing over the course of the next month up until release. If you can't get enough of Super Mario Odyssey, then keep an eye out for more gameplay like this in the near future.

If you'd like to watch the full video for yourself, then you can find it below. Super Mario Odyssey is due out in less than a month on October 27, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
