Last september the PSP JRPG by Nihon Falcom The Legend of Heroes: Zero No Kiseki won an Award for Excellence at the Japan Games Awards 2011 with the following motivation: " This award was given for the intense popularity of this game as a well-done RPG with a forceful worldview, very appealing characters, and great depth of the story."

I'm not sure about the "forceful" world view (I didn't translate this, it's there on the English website of the awards), but the game is indeed really great, and is now awaiting a PS Vita remake that promises to be even better.

In any case, Falcom published today a celebratory trailer for the award, featuring both Zero no Kiseki and it's sequel Ao No Kiseki.

The trailer looks and sounds great, so you should definitely check it past the cut. Also remember that the first game of the trilogy, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky has been published in the US by Xseed Games, and will be finally released in Europe on November the 4th. You better consider grabbing it (it's a great game) if you want to see the other two in English sooner or later.
