Watch This: '100 Yen: the Japanese Arcade Experience' Trailer

With the quality product being put out by 2 Player Productions, PATV and the instant classic The King of Kong, documentaries about video games are having sort of a renaissance. While most of these docs are the babies of wonderful indie filmmakers, they’re pretty much all viewed from the American gamer’s perspective. As an unabashed Japanophile with an obsession for classic Japanese games, I’m very excited for the new film 100 Yen: the Japanese Arcade Experience.

Check out the trailer after the jump.

Directed by Brad Crawford, the hour long film was funded in small contributions by fans across the internets. I can’t wait for it and I really hope we see more Japanese gamers in the actual film. There’s a lot of white people in that trailer.

No release date is set but look for 100 Yen: the Japanese Arcade Experience this fall.
