Watch_Dogs for Wii U Missing from Nintendo’s List of Upcoming Games: Another Sign of Cancellation?

on January 30, 2014 12:17 AM

There have been rumors of a possible cancellation of the Wii U version of Watch_Dogs, due to the (then retracted) cancellation of pre-orders at GameStop, but today Nintendo released the official list of upcoming games for its consoles, and if you check under “third party” on page seven, Watch_Dogs is indeed not there.

It’s worth mentioning that the list does include games that still don’t have a firm release date, like Bayonetta 2, LEGO: The Hobbit or Ubisoft’s own Child of Light.

Last week both Nintendo and Ubisoft declined to comment on a possible cancellation of the Wii U version of Watch_Dogs, so we should take this with a pinch of salt until an official announcement is made, but if you’re waiting to play Watch_Dogs on Nintendo’s home console, the chance that it might not happen exists.

We’ll keep you updated any further relevant information about the issue.
