Watch_Dogs: Here’s What Happens When Online Invasions Go Horribly Wrong – Xbox One Footage

on May 26, 2014 5:16 PM

With Watch_Dogs already in the hands of many, we’re finally seeing a few videos of the online portion of the game. One feature, hacking, prompts players to infiltrate other people’s games and plant a back door in their smartphones without being detected, and it can really go horribly wrong.

The two videos below are an example of that. In the first (courtesy of YouTube user QuAkEr OaTz), seen from the point of view of the “victim,” the perpetrator really isn’t very good at being inauspicious, an his reckless driving triggers the reaction of the NPC passers-by. That’s what causes the victim to discover and kill him.

The second (by EcKuLz) is quite hilarious, as our perpetrator tries to hide in a car, but a glitch causes the original driver to float just outside, providing an easy telltale for the victim, that naturally becomes the executioner.

While there’s no indication of the platform of the first video (if I had to dare a guess it looks like the Xbox 360 version), the second is confirmed to be a retail copy of the Xbox One version.
