Watch_Dogs Takes 55 Seconds to Load Every Time on PS3; New Leaked Videos Appear

on May 20, 2014 4:35 PM

We have heard complaints about Watch_Dogs taking a long time to load when you start a new game or load an old one: it was even included as one of the cons in the first published review of the game, but just how long is that long?

Thanks to two leaked videos of the PS3 version (you can find the first here, and the second at the bottom of the post) now we know that it’s 55 seconds, at least for Sony’s veteran console.

The videos show both the start of a completely new game and loading a previous save, and both take the same time. That’s probably due to the game starting up the environmental simulation and all the elements that drive its massive virtual Chicago.

That’s quite long, but actually a bit less than I personally expected, and of course we don’t yet know how long it takes on other platforms. Ultimately it’s the price we have to pay to enjoy such an enormous and lively playground (Courtesy of YouTube users Eagle Of Assassins and MilicoGamer).

As an added bonus, you can check out three more leaked videos below. The first two are from the PS3 version and the third is from the PS4 version. As usual, be aware that the first (which is quite long) includes possible spoilers.
