Paid promotional content on Youtube does not influence the perceptions of Youtubers, popular broadcasters SeaNanners and Syndicate have said.

Speaking on behalf of the newly formed agency 3BlackDot, a spokesperson for the pair said that while there was a fine line to be considered, paid promotion on Youtube could work.

We do not believe authenticity and compensation are mutually exclusive.

The promotion, marketing, and distribution we provide is for products we believe in. We would never put our audience at risk by working with products or services we cannot get behind. Authenticity is our absolute guiding principle.

However, while 3BlackDot was optimistic about the impact payed promotion could have on Youtubers, they stated that it was important to be open with their audiences,

Transparency is key to maintaining an open and clear relationship between Influencers and their communities.

If and when necessary, paid promotions will be labelled as such.
