We Happy Few’s Season Pass Will Feature Three New Stories; Free Sandbox Mode Coming

Compulsion Games has revealed that the fun won't stop in We Happy Few, as the post-release content will include a free Sandbox Mode and new stories.

After spending the past few years in an early access state, the long-awaited We Happy Few will finally deliver its particular brand of dystopian “fun” (if that’s what you might call it) to players this week, though Compulsion Games has revealed that more in store for players after release in the form of post-release content.

Developer Compulsion Games has revealed the contents that players can expect from the Season Pass for We Happy Few, which is officially set to debut later this week on consoles and PC. Specifically, the Season Pass will provide players with a set of three stories set in the game’s dystopian world of Wellington Wells after release, and the names and full descriptions for each of the story-driven episodes can be found below:

Roger & James in: They Came From Below!

Precocious Roger and Impetuous James set off in search of adventure and love, only to uncover bizarre technology and a terrifying new threat. All is not as it seems. Or is it exactly as it seems?

Lightbearer

Heartthrob, artist, and personal trainwreck, Nick Lightbearer is Wellington Wells’ most celebrated rock star—but what truly makes him tick? Tune in to Uncle Jack’s late show to find out.

We All Fall Down

Much like any well-worn happy mask, all societies develop cracks in their veneer. But that doesn’t mean you should go digging up dirt from the past. Right? *pops a Joy pill* Right!

The Season Pass will be available as part of the Digital Deluxe Edition for We Happy Few, though Compulsion Games added that the Season Pass will also be available to purchase upon the game’s launch later this week.

In addition to the Season Pass contents, Compulsion Games also revealed that a free update will be coming to players across all platforms in the form of a new Sandbox Mode, which will provide players with the ability to play through the game’s survival-focused experience infinitely in a world that players can completely customize to their own liking for added challenge.

We Happy Few will release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on August 10th, 2018. If you have yet to pick up a copy of the game, you can still pre-order it ahead of its release later this week through Amazon.
