Hamish Young EA Criterion Need For Speed

Do you have a need? Do you have a need… for speed? Ok sorry, that was pretty cheesy but I couldnt think of a better way to introduce our preview of Criterion’s next gem in the making, Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit. We had the chance to play against and then chat it up with Hamish Young, one of the game’s producers who filled us in about what to expect in the game’s multiplayer mode. Here’s a hint: it’s Criterion so you already it’s good. Take a look at the full interview below!

Splatterhouse Has Gone Gold Number of View: 136

splatterhouse-islands massacre

Namco Bandai announced this morning that Splatterhouse has gone Gold! Inspired by the 1988 arcade hit, Splatterhouse is definitely looking to live up to it’s namesake quite literally.

SPLATTERHOUSE follows college student Rick Taylor as he embarks on a mission to rescue his girlfriend, Jennifer, who was kidnapped after they entered a mysterious run-down Mansion inhabited by an elusive scientist, Dr. West. Confronted by otherworldly horrific abominations under Dr. West’s control, Rick turns to a mystical sentient mask that promises to give him the power to reunite with his beloved Jennifer. Full of desperation, Rick dons the “Terror Mask” and is transformed into a raging juggernaut, exemplifying unadulterated violence and destruction to anything that stands in his way.

With promises of dismemberment, impaling, and a large variety of weapons to do the gruesome work with, Splatterhouse launches on the XBox 360 and Playstation 3 on November 23rd, 2010. With a soundtrack featuring some of today’s biggest names in Metal including Mastodon, Lamb of God, Municipal Waste, The Haunted, Cavalera Conspiracy and more, Splatterhouse promises to be a very visceral experience.

Demo Impressions: Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom Number of View: 261

majin-7

Prior to the demo announcement yesterday, I had no idea what Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom was. After downloading and playing through the demo, it has become one of my most anticipated upcoming games. Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom is an action/adventure game which takes place in a beautiful kingdom that has been overtaken by Darkness.

You play as Tepeu, a skilled thief who has snuck into the abandoned Kingdom and stumbles across a slumbering Ogre; the titular Majin of the game. They take off on an adventure to restore the Majin’s lost power to him and try to restore the Kingdom to it’s former self.

Dead Rising 2 Ships Over 2 Million Number of View: 123

dead-rising-2-case-west

Capcom has confirmed today that Dead Rising 2 has shipped over 2 million copies worldwide, which brings the total units shipped of the franchise to over 4 million! Capcom is also extremely pleased to announce that it’s acquisition of Blue Castle Games has now been ratified by the Canadian authorities, with this wholly owned subsidiary being known as Capcom Game Studio Vancouver.

That’s a lot of Zombrex treatments and a ridiculous amount of Zombies killed. Looks like this franchise isn’t stopping anytime soon! With Case West still to come, who knows what else is in store for the survivors of this Zombie apocalypse.
